Actors are probably your most important piece of the film. Without them you just have a background with no action going on. Because of this make sure you keep them happy. Their performances will make or break your film.

Principal Talent or Main Characters

These are your main stars of the film.

Featured Talent or Secondary Characters

These are people who may have one line in the film or come in contact with the main star in a scene. These could be talent with 5 lines or under or could be talent who only appear in a few scenes.

Background Talent or Extras

This is exactly as it sounds. They are any of your background talent in a scene. Background talent are great to have and add life to any scene.

Remember that background talent or extras are important people too. Many of them could go on to be main actors in you next series of films. You never know where your next star could come from so treat everyone as if they are your main talent.
